What was the dominant technical aspect of this drawing…
the lighting.
What element of the composition did I go after…
the Top of the Mark.
Yes it’s true. . .this was inspired by the paperback cover,
for the book "Hotel". Ironically the TV series "Hotel",
was set next door at the Fairmont. The book "Hotel"
took place in New Orleans.
