Back story: What was the dominant technical aspect of this painting . . . color & how to avoid painting a white fence flat white, but rather with reflective color. I also like the contrast of soft textures in the background trees with the detailed textures of the
grass in the front of the fence.
What element of the composition did I go after . . . the fore ground weeds.
Yes it's true . . . the home owner has since torn the trellis down.
