Back story:
What was the dominant technical aspect of this painting . . . the brush stroke. This piece was about creating the illusion of detail through the abstracting of objects, as opposed to a tight rendering approach. What element of the composition did I go after . . . the objects on top of the bar.
Yes it's true . . . I changed the barman’s clothes from a t-shirt to a shirt & tie,
to class up the joint.
